MobileArtCon 2 is on the horizon! and REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN! :-)
If you were at the last one, then you know that you're in for an extraordinary treat. (AND, if you missed the last one, here is your opportunity to join your fellow mobi-digi artists, iArtists, Droidsmen, luminartists, fingerpainters, iphoneographers, mobile photographers, or whatever your call yourself! :-)) for a 2-day creative session filled with new ideas, processes, techniques and exciting opportunities for instantaneous collaborations.
This year's theme is "On the Move"--hiliting the role mobile media has played in changing the way art is produced, shared and distributed as well as the role it has played in mobilizing and bringing together creative-types of all levels, professions and backgrounds.
We will be creating, publishing and distributing works on site--and encouraging further growth and development of craft through shared space and open opportunities for small to large scale collaborations. Art and artists will also be on the move, as we will kick off this year's MobileArtCon with an ArtCrawl through New York City on Friday, September 30th (a free and open event for attendees, friends, family and members of the NYC public who wish to mobilize their creative spirit AND get to know the city). There will also be creative sessions led beyond the walls of the Tisch facility (for our many artists who wish to create in "transit")
Tickets for MobileArtcon 2 are limited this year--as we wish to foster an intimate setting and space for artists to create. All sessions will have an interactive component for artists to participate and put their own creative vision and skill to work.
Tickets are available on a first come first serve basis (so if you plan to attend, its best to register early!) The official conference schedule will be distributed as we near the event.

The International Association of Mobile Digital Artists (iAMDA) promotes and supports artists who utilize mobile digital media to create art ranging from paintings, photography, mixed media and music. Media includes cellphones, mobile tablets (ie. iPods/IPads), mobile graphic tablets or any other mobile wireless device(s). The organization is committed to supporting these artists through the development of educational resources, programs, workshops, conferences, and promotional events (ie, group exhibitions).
ITP is a two-year graduate program located in the Tisch School of the Arts whose mission is to explore the imaginative use of communications technologies — how they might augment, improve, and bring delight and art into people's lives. Perhaps the best way to describe us is as a Center for the Recently Possible.
